We wanted to write you and the PTA to say THANK YOU for approving and sending us to see Marcy Cook present a seminar on K-3 Mathematics! The seminar was AMAZING and was honestly one of the best ones I have ever seen. We learned so much about differentiation, Guided Math Centers, and came back with so many great ideas for hands-on Math learning games! We purchased books while there to share with our teams and plan on re-delivering all the information we learned to our teams as well!Thank you again for supporting us as we try to grow and learn professionally!!

“My students and I have really enjoyed the programs provided by the Arts in Education committee. The Cinderella performance was innovative, creative, and interactive. The teachers and students had a blast! We are lucky to have such a supportive PTA, and surrounding community. Having the opportunity to listen and learn from authors such as Lola Schaefer is a treat for students. These presentations are pure inspiration, and foster a creative spirit for everyone who attends. Thank you PTA!”

This is a sincere message of thanks to our PTA. We are so appreciative of the many things you do for us and our wonderful students. Each year you always come through for us. Even in economic hardships, you find ways to provide reimbursements for classroom items, train upcoming parents to be supportive room reps, and assist us in large purchases. Most recently, we asked for financial assistance in obtaining speaker, Katy Huller, to train kindergarten in

Thank you so much for funding our trip to the International Reading Conference! We were thrilled to share our metacognition lessons with teachers from all over the United States. We were so proud to represent East Side and our fabulous first graders. We knew presenting would be an outstanding experience, but we also learned many new ideas! We were able to share these new ideas with our teams and other East Side teachers! Thank you again-we could not have done it without you!

East Side’sReaders Club is a huge hit! First and second graders are arriving at 7:00 two days a week with big smiles on their faces! Thank you for helping to fund this beneficial program! We are currently reading with almost 60 students! The books, games, journals, and other supplies provided by PTA funds are going a long way!
