Indirect Fundraising

Help raise easy money for East Side Elementary School! It costs you nothing except participation! Schools the size of East Side often generate $15,000 a year by fully participating in these indirect fundraising programs. REMEMBER–start participating NOW! The potential for East Side is fantastic. These programs operate all year round and anyone can participate. So pass the word on to friends, neighbors and relatives!

Listed below are the various ways you can help. If you have any questions, please contact Allison Marshall via email at bamaberto@comcast.net

Publix Partners Card

Each time you shop at Publix, have the cashier scan your Publix Partners Card at checkout and a percentage of your total grocery bill will automatically be credited to East Side’s account. If you are new to our school or need additional Publix cards, they are available at the volunteer desk in the front lobby. Cards can be used by anyone–relatives, friends and neighbors and do not expire!

General Mills’ Box Top$ for Education

When you purchase any General Mills products–cereals, frozen foods, meals, snacks – just clip the official “Box Top$ for Education” coupons and turn them into the collection bin by the ASP desk or in the PTA mailbox. Each coupon is worth 10 cents to our school. The average household purchases more than 100 Box Tops products each year, which could add up to over $7,500 in earnings for our school – just from clipping. We can also earn money through the Box Tops Marketplace.

Visit www.boxtops4education.com to learn more how you can contribute to East Side just by purchasing everyday grocery and household products. Participating vendors include: General Mills®, Pillsbury®, Yoplait®, Betty Crocker®, Gold Medal®, Totino’s®, Nature Valley®, Pop Secret®, most Fruit Snacks, Hamburger/Tuna/Chicken Helper®, Old El Paso®, and Ziploc®, just to name a few.

Domino’s Pizza Family Night

Look in your East Side calendar for our newest Eat-In partnership this year – Domino’s Pizza. Generally held on the second Thursday of each month, families order pizza and present the attached form when the food is delivered. Enjoy time together as a family without the stress of preparing dinner and support East Side at the same time!

Six Beans

We are delighted to partner again with locally-owned Six Beans for five dinner nights this year. Six Beans offers convenient, healthy ready-to-heat meals for busy families. Menus change frequently, so check out www.sixbeans.com for the most current offerings.

Georgia Natural Gas TrueBlue Schools

For each Georgia Natural Gas® (GNG) customer who enrolls in the TrueBlue Schools Program, GNG will contribute to East Side (i) a one-time $40 payment upon initial customer enrollment in the Program and (ii) $5 per month thereafter for each month that the customer receives natural gas service from GNG. Enrollment must occur via GNG’s website, www.trueblueschools.com.

Campbell’s Labels for Education

Labels for Education gives schools free educational equipment in exchange for UPC’s and lids from products in the Campbell family of brands. It’s easy to do–just collect UPC’s and lids from eligible Campbell’s products and then turn them in the marked collection box near the ASP desk or put them in the PTA Mailbox. Remember, only the UPC code is needed, not the entire label.

Some of the products eligible for label redemption in the program include: Campbell’s® soups; Campbell’s Supper Bakes®; Campbell’s® or Franco-American® SpaghettiOs® pasta; Campbell’s® beans, gravies and canned pasta; Prego® pasta sauces; Swanson® broths and canned poultry; Pace® salsa and picante sauces; V8® vegetable juices and V8 Splash® juice drinks; Campbell’s® tomato juice; Pepperidge Farm® breads, cookies, crackers, and frozen products; Pepperidge Farm® Goldfish®; and Campbell’s® Foodservice products. Triple your efforts by asking your friends and family to collect labels on behalf of our school. Together with Campbell’s Labels for Education–we can build a better school for our children–one label at a time. Please visit www.labelsforeducation.com for more information.

Campbell’s e-Labels for Education

Labels for Education is now offering an even easier way for you to support East Side. e-Labels for Education is a new addition to the program being offered exclusively through the Kroger Family of Stores. After registering for e-Labels for Education, every time you purchase participating Campbell’s Labels for Education products at any Kroger Store, our school will automatically receive 1 point for every participating product purchased with your Shoppers Card. The points you earn (1 point per product purchased) will be automatically deposited into your school’s Labels for Education account. Simply go to www.e-labelsforeducation.com or www.kroger.com/e-labelsforeducation and follow the instructions to set up your e-Labels for Education account.

Tyson Foods Project A+

Does anyone in your family eat Tyson chicken nuggets? Of course they do! When you clip and save labels from Tyson chicken nuggets and other products that feature the Project A+ logo, East Side can redeem them for cash from Tyson. You may also visit the products page on Tyson’s website that lists exactly which items are participating.

Each Tyson Project A+ label has a value of 24¢ when redeemed. Tyson Foods imposes no restrictions on the use of Project A+ funds. For more information, visit http://www.tyson.com/projectaplus/ .

Pike Nursery Greenback Program

Help us receive free landscaping materials for our school campus by “recycling” your Pike’s receipts. Pike Family Nursery donates a percentage of the cash value of the receipts back to East Side in the form of plants, flowers, shrubs, trees, gardening materials, and tools.

When you shop at Pike Family Nurseries, please send your original receipts to school and deposit them in the PTA mailbox in an envelope marked “Pike’s.” Remember to ask gardening friends and neighbors to save their receipts, too. What an easy way to improve our school’s landscaping efforts! This program allows all of us to help keep East Side beautiful.

Office Depot 5% Back to Schools Program

Every time schools, teachers, students, parents and school supporters give East Side’s 5% Back to Schools Program ID number (ID # 70026196) when buying school supplies at Office Depot, we will receive credits equal to 5% of the qualifying purchases to use for free supplies. They should have our ID number at the registers so don’t worry if you forget the number. Generally, basic student school supplies are qualifying purchases. Products that do not qualify are computers, all technology items (including personal digital assistants/PDAs), TVs, all furniture and furniture accessories, some bulk-packaged products (cases of copy paper), ink and toner cartridges, and Office Depot Gift Cards.

Advantage Cartridge

Advantage Cartridge recycles and pays for empty inkjet, laser toner cartridges, used cell phones and PDA cell phones. This no cost, year-round fundraising program is the ideal way to be more environmentally responsible while supporting our school. Turn in your items in the collection bin near the ASP desk.

Schoolpop.com

Schoolpop has created an on-line shopping mall for East Side Elementary School with 750+ retailers participating. Just go to www.schoolpop.com, register at no cost, and select East Side Elementary School in Marietta, Georgia (ID# 123113). Then begin shopping! Every purchase made through Schoolpop will benefit East Side–at no additional cost to you or to East Side! You can also be assured that any information you give to Schoolpop will remain secure. They do not sell or release any mailing lists–even to the other schools they serve.

This program is particularly great for online shoppers during the holidays. This program does not affect the prices you pay. You’re shopping anyway, why not let East Side benefit?

Family Donation and Corporate Matching

These represent some of the “passive” ways to contribute to our PTA and school. We also ask families to support our direct fundraiser – Sally Foster giftwrap – either through sales to family, friends and neighbors or through a tax-deductible donation. Does your employer participate in a matching gift program? If so, please help the East Side PTA benefit from your matching program and double your impact at our school! Simply ask your human resource department for information, fill out the proper authorization forms and return them to the East Side PTA.

The money East Side receives from these fundraisers makes a big difference in the number and quality of educational enrichment activities your child will enjoy. Please remember to check the Indirect Fundraising page on our website regularly, as we update often. Please encourage friends and families to sign up as well.
