Foundation Mission
To enhance the school’s ability to create meaningful, state-of-the-art educational experiences for all students by providing resources beyond those provided by Cobb County or the PTA.
About Us
The East Side Elementary Foundation (created in 2005) is a non-profit organization that raises money for the purpose of improving our school by providing funding for technology, curriculum, and facility improvements at East Side.
How We Raise Money
The Foundation raises money by a Capital Campaign where East Side families are asked to donate $50 for each child they have that attends East Side. Last year, only about 14% of East Side families participated, while areas schools that ask for more money ($100 per child) have 90% participation. The Foundation also solicits corporate matching donations and direct contributions from corporations in exchange for sponsorships. The Foundation has sponsored other fundraisers in previous years (Candlelight Gala, International Extravaganza, Movie Nights, Bingo Night); however, we intend for the Capital Campaign to be our sole major fundraiser for 2008-2009. We need YOUR support!!
